Join our global student community!
UPEI has a growing reputation as a premier educational destination for students from around the world. The campus welcomes more than 1,600 international students from more than 90 countries each year: that represents more than a quarter of the entire student body. Students are attracted to the high-quality education and the small, safe location with all the services students need. Experience Canadian culture, PEI style!
Visit our International Students page for more information on becoming a UPEI student, and making the most of your time as a current student.
In addition, we have agreements and partnerships around the world, meaning your UPEI experience can include studies almost anywhere.
With exchange partnerships in 30 countries, students who qualify can design their own Study Abroad programs that allow them to explore and experience the richness of other countries while earning UPEI credits. UPEI opens the door to studying in countries such as China, France, Finland, Sweden, Mexico, Australia, or Japan—and the list goes on.
New Student Orientation (NSO) launches each school year with a full schedule of fun events meant to get new students used to UPEI, both academically and socially. The week is led by current students, so you’ll get the best information straight from the people who know student life best.
It’s a great way to get off on the right foot, and you’ll make friendships that will last a lifetime!
Once you apply to be a student you’ll get a reminder to sign up for NSO. Be sure to take part and make the most of your university experience!
